KOS provided by the Marine Environment Information System

The National Marine Environment Information System (MEIS) is managed by the Marine Environment Research Institute. It standardizes and integrates marine environmental data individually produced by related agencies, such as the Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation (KOEM), the National Institute of Fisheries Science (NIFS), the Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency (KHOA), the Korea Coast Guard, and the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), to provide user-centered, comprehensive marine environmental services to the public.

On December 31, 2019, it was integrated with the 'Marine Environmental Impact Assessment Support System', the 'Ocean Dumping Information Management System', the 'Marine Litter   Information System', and the 'Marine Ecology Information System (Bada Saengtae Jeongbo Nara)' to become the Marine Environmental  Information Portal.
